Handmade with sea glass from Seaham
Sea glass is created when pieces of glass are naturally tumbled and smoothed by the ocean over many years. Waves, shingle and sand transform discarded glass into softly weathered pieces with rounded edges and a unique matte finish. No two pieces are the same, each formed naturally by the movement of the ocean over time.
How to care for your jewellery
Silver can tarnish, oxidise, bend or even break.
Many things can make it tarnish including (but not limited to):
*natural skin chemistry
*soaps, shampoos and perfumes
*chlorine in hot tubs and swimming pools
*hand sanitisers
*household cleaning products
Please remove jewellery when bathing, swimming, doing chores and applying lotions/creams. Allow moisturisers to absorb into your skin before putting back on.
If you are lifting anything heavy, gardening or playing some sports you risk damaging/scratching your jewellery - especially thin or narrow bands.
There is no such thing as an 'adjustable' ring. The open rings should only be adjusted once, very carefully. If they are repeatedly pulled open and squeezed to close, the bands will break due to fatigue.
Please note that some stones are soft and need careful wear.
It is natural for silver to tarnish/oxidise but you can prevent it with some care. Wipe with a silver cleaning cloth when you take it off, before storing in dry conditions. Ziplock bags, a jewellery box or other air tight container will help prevent the air getting to the silver. Wearing it often also prevents tarnishing.
This jewellery is handmade and therefore will not be perfect. Every piece is unique and made with care.
